Tip of the Week

A query is basically an ad for contact with anyone searching for the same or related ancestors. Queries may be submitted to genealogy magazines, newspapers, individuals, or web sites. To get the best result from a genealogical query, you should try to restrict your query to a single family and be very specific about the information you need. Restrict your query to the following main points: Surname, Additional closely related surnames, country, locality, and date(s).
