August 17, 2007, Newsletter Issue #161: Whatīs the first step?

Tip of the Week

Your first step toward organizing your genealogy research/items should be to gather everything you have already collected into one place. As you go through your house, place any documents, certificates, letters, photographs into a large container or box. Getting everything together will give you an idea of how much material you already have, as well as what types of items you will need to organize.

Donīt set up an organizational system until you take stock of what you have!
